コミュニケーションの問題が発生することは起こる可能性は十分あります。
たとえば、
「ビジネスの状況」では、
会議で上司の話を聞いているが、上司の使用する英単語が分からないという場合があります。
「カジュアルな状況で」では、
カフェにいて、スタッフの言っている事が正確に聞き取ることができないという場合があります。

５．日本語はわかっているけど、それを英語でどう言うかわからない
このような問題がおこった場合、

この場面では、スマホを取り出して
自分では思いつかない単語を一つ検索してみても大丈夫です。

5.) スマートフォンを取り出して、すべての文を翻訳しようとしない。
スマートフォンに頼りすぎると、
良い対話ができず、コミュニケーションがうまくいかなくなります。
したがって、このコミュニケーション戦略⑤ では、
単語がどうしても思い出せない場合は、
携帯電話を使って検索するのは問題ありませんが、
基本的に会話中のスマートフォンの使用には気を付けましょう。
★「Let + me + 動詞 」のフォームで、あなたが何かをして完了するまで相手に待ってもらうことができます。

６．返答を考える時間が必要

相手に言いたいことを考えるまで待つように伝えています。
ただし、5 秒ほど考えてから、もう一度相手に何かを言う必要がありますね。
「やってはいけないリスト」の
ルール ２ を思い出してください。
2.) 固まらない。
このフレーズを言ってから、彫像のように完全に静止してしまうと、
相手が居心地が悪くなり、コミュニケーションは上手く行きません。
したがって、固まらず対話を続ける準備ができるまで、
必要に応じてこのコミュニケーション戦略⑥を何度も使用してください。
★「Let + me + 動詞 」のフォームで、あなたが何かをして完了するまで相手に待ってもらうことができます。

「I am afraid that ~」というフレーズは、
相手によくないニュースを伝えるときに使う事ができます。
何が起こっているのかまったく理解できないために、
会話を再開してもらいたい時、丁寧に相手に伝えることができる最善の方法です。
このフレーズを言った後、さらに対話を軌道に戻すために、
すぐに他の 6 つのコミュニケーション戦略のいずれかを使用しましょう。
★「I'm afraid that + (文章). 」のフォームで、
「恐れ入りますが、すみませんが」のように丁寧に相手にお願いをすることができます。

２.Controlled Practice Speaking Activity 2 (20 minutes)

For the student:
Your teacher will ask you a question, but he or she will intentionally cause a Communication Problem. Use the appropriate Communication Strategy to understand and answer the question.
For the teacher:
You will ask your student a question, but intentionally cause a Communication Problem. Listen to your student for the appropriate Communication Solutions as they try to understand and answer your question.
Any question you can think of is fine, but here are a few you can use if you do not have time to create some yourself. If you do create your own questions, make sure that they are questions your student can reliably answer. Also, the difficulty of the question can be on a graded level, with "Easy, Harder, Hardest", and depending on your student, you can decide which one to use.

You will have a 30 minute conversation with your teacher. Your teacher will ask you a question. Use Communication Strategies as much as you can to answer their questions. After you answer your teacher's question, you will ask your teacher a question. Any question is okay!
For the teacher:
You will have a 30 minute conversation with your teacher. First, you ask the student any good question. Make sure that they use the Communication Strategies when there are Communication Problems. After they answer your question, have your student ask a question. Give them feedback only on their usage of Communication Strategies.
Of course, if you want, you can make a list of new words or phrases that they do not know, for later review.
